Ashley Medical Practice is an accredited training practice with a GP Educational Supervisor (Trainer), Dr Layth J Delaimy since 2003. We have been involved for many years in the post-graduate training of fully qualified doctors who wish to Specialize in General Practice. These doctors are called GP registrars or GPSTs and usually work in the practice, under the supervision of our GP trainer, for about 12 months as part of their specialist family doctor training. Some may join the practice for a period of 4 months s part of their Speciality Training in General Practice rotation.
As well as assisting in the training of young doctors, we believe that this continuous involvement in medical education helps the practice to focus on the provision of high quality patient care.
If you are interested in training with us as a GP please contact us.
Video-recording consultations
As part of our training and commitment to improving our service, we may video consultations. Any clinical examination will not be recorded - only the consultation. Your consent will always be sought before this is done, and if you do not wish your consultation to be recorded on video, we will of course respect your wishes.
